We begin the year officially with two gorgeous and uplifting disco songs titled "No Cross, No Crown" and "The Message", both by gospel funk band Gloster Williams and Master Control from their LP Praying Spirit which was released in 1979. Very little is known about this band but for sure they were able to fuse funk, disco and gospel to incredible results with their exuberant vocals and orchestration. The saying No Cross, No Crown is usually interpreted as staying out of religion and politics. I'm loving both songs and hope this will get you in the mood for some good old shaking gospel/spiritual disco. Enjoy
