I've always wanted to work with Kate Bush's "Running Up That Hill". It's one of those truly beautiful and brutally honest love song's every written, totally multi layered in every way. So here is the outcome, Some glitches here and there but not so terrible and keeping with the integrity of the original I decided to elongate some breaks and added some strings for added drama. Enjoy!

Winter '15 Mix (Bjorkish Inspirations)
Here is a new mix inspired by the music that inspires the great Bjork based from a recent article published regarding her upcoming exhibition at the MoMA where they mentioned the kinds of music that inspires this truly amazing artist. The mix is as eclectic and unpredictable reflecting the wide rage of music. There are some Glamjack sprinkles and overlaps for added effect. This mix has made me discovered the brilliance of Meredith Monk, early Aphex Twin, James Blake, The Range, Black Dog Productions, Thai funk and disco pop sounds. Also her inspirations has made me rediscover the genius of Kate Bush, Nico, Public Enemy and Joni Mitchell. The mix ends of course with "Atom Dance" from Bjork's new offering titled Vulnicura which is a true exceptional and deeply emotional work that is already considered the best among her amazing work. Enjoy!

Cloudbusting
Today it has been a beautiful day in the city filled with early Autumn air and culminating with an intense half moon. This inspired me to post a a song by the iconic Kate Bush. "Cloudbusting" is not necessarily a full fledged dance song per say; however, this song can be played on any dance floor and I can tell you that it would probably get the most jaded ones moving and then some with such an epic of a song. This song was the second single released from her no. 1 1985 album Hounds of Love. This song is a look at a special relationship between a boy and his father. It describes psychologist Wilhelm Reich's arrest and imprisonment through the eyes of his young song, Peter. Reich's son later wrote his father's story in the book A Book Of Dreams, published in 1973, on which the song is based. Wilhelm Reich is the inventor of the cloudbuster. A cloudbuster is a rain machine that looks very much like the machine that is pictured on the cover of this single. The music video is fantastic, it features Donald Sutherland playing the role of Wilhelm Reich and Bush playing the part of his young son, Peter. It's divine!
