It's a state of mind, getting ready to go clubbing, getting there and totally let loose no matter what you look like or how old you are. Letting yourself be transported and energy release if you will by the beats in embracing a psychotic state full of movement,  a new way of jacking your body dare I say! Traka Laking! Como Bailar

Me dancing in 1991at a house party in Lafayette, Louisiana. Here is a track that inspired this photo. It's a moody house track edit from Tiger and Wood's "Como Bailar" where Alejandro Paz declares  he's not interested in the people and what they think of him and he only think he cares is how to dance. Indeed and then talks to another dancer  on how empty they both are but still it helps to care only how to dance....Enjoy!

Paris Is Burning: Dorian Corey

So lately, I've been doing some mixes using duologue from classic documentary about the vogue scene Paris Is Burning. Focusing on the wisdom from drag mother Dorian Corey. There are actually three different remixes. One it's the Can You Jack Remix which uses Larry Heard's house classic "Can You Jack", then there is the disco remix using Kano's " Are You Ready" and lastly the more Disco Monk version mixed with SMFB's  "Love Is The Message". Enjoy!
