I Want You / Fever

I don't normally remix Madonna much but this one was calling my name upon hearing recently her mid 90's compilation CD  of ballads "Something To Remember".  Her cover of Marvin Gay's "I Want You" wasn't so bad and  I'm pleased how it's holds up pretty well thus this remix segueing into her other famous cover of "Fever".

Summer 2002 Mix

It's been a while since I've done a mix of music. This is something I've been listening in the past month or so.  A mixed bag for sure from some 70's soul, 90's house, disco by Willie Hutch, Wilson Pickett, Les Troubadours Do Roi Baudouin, Brainstorm, Whitney Houston, Erick Morillo feat. La India, Cafe Tacuba, Marc Almond  and some fairly recent releases by young artists such as Arca, A Tribe Called Red feat. Lido Pimienta, Peggy Gou, Sofi Tukker & Pablo Vittar, M.I.A and Sevdaliza. RIP Manu Dibango and Nashom Wooden

Already we lost two great performers from COVID-19.  African Jazz genius Manu Dibango who created "Soul Makossa". One of the best dance songs ever and Nashom Wooden AKA Mona Foot, NCY Nightlife performer and legend. He was 1/3 of The Ones who created the dance smash hit "Flawless". Rest in power to these two beautiful and talented men.
