Disco Photography: Sterling St. Jacques

Celebrating the life of Sterling St. Jaques! Here dancing with Bianca Jagger.
His life needs to be made into a movie! Here is the back story I took from aidsmemorial on instagram:

Sterling St. Jacques (1957 — 1984) was a model and the “nephew/son” of the actor Raymond St. Jacques. Raymond St. Jacques in a 1969 interview discussed his plans to adopt two boys. The adoption never happened. However, in the early 1970s, he claimed to have two older sons, named Raymond and Sterling.
.
Although Sterling studied at LA City College, no actual record of his birth date or birthplace can be found. He was rumored to have been born in Salt Lake City or to be either of Brazilian or Jamaican decent.
During the 1970s and early ‘80s, Sterling appeared on the covers of magazines, modeled for @halston and Hubert de @Givenchy. Givenchy was said to be Sterling’s lover who he resided with in a Swiss castle.
.
As an actor, Sterling had bit parts in films such as Eyes of Laura Mars (1978) with Faye Dunaway and and the Italian movie Sistemo l’America e torno (1974).
.
Together, Sterling and model @patcleveland were regulars at Studio 54. Although they appeared in public as a couple, and were briefly engaged, Sterling was widely known to be gay.
.
In the 1980s, Sterling moved to Europe to try and become a nightclub DJ and advance his modeling career. Soon after, he claimed to the press he was broke and was thinking of opening a dance studio in Manhattan. This idea never came to fruition and instead he regularly appeared in both high-end (Vogue) and low-brow (Playmen) magazines and even performed Italo disco.
.
It’s has been widely reported that Sterling died of AIDS in 1984. While Raymond St. Jacques — who died of AIDS seven years later in 1991 — was seemingly unaware of Sterling’s death, having stipulated that his "nephew" receive "the sum of $1.00” in his will.

Dancing Therapy

Here is the Italo Disco tune "Dancing Therapy" from  German outfit International Music System (IMS). I would be lying if I say that It hasn't been a rough month dealing with family and natural disasters.  In time like this one must appreciate we are all alive and healthy and that is all that matters the most in the end. It's amazing how we as human are wired to accept and adapt to change even when we least expected, specially when we are set in our ways! In the end,  all we can do is learn from it, evolve and move on. And on that note,  here is a 1984 recently discovery featured track from BIS (Beats In Space) sweetly spoke and moved me recently it's simple kitchy message.   Enjoy!

Special Agent Man

Here is a song by Italo disco cult heroes Gaz Nevada called "Special Agent Man". I am mesmerized by this electronic disco rarity that seems to come from the future even if this was released in 1983! If I am not mistaken this is the female version. I haven't heard the male version yet. The long intro is pure cosmic magic magic full of unpredictable episodes. They also scored big with "IC Love Affair" which I happen to love also. Enjoy
